Privacy Notice
Last updated: 11 Aug 2026
1. General information
This privacy notice explains how Enodia Software GmbH ("we") processes personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. All processing is carried out in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and further applicable provisions.
2. Data controller
Responsible for the data processing on this website is Enodia Software GmbH, Marie-Jahn-Straße 22, 30177 Hannover, Germany. Contact: day2day@enodia.de, +49 511 600 2300. Please see the imprint for further information. We have not appointed a data protection officer as we are not legally required to do so. Please direct data protection requests to the e-mail address above.
3. Access data (server logs)
When you access this website, technical information is automatically transmitted to our server and stored in log files: IP address, date and time of access, the URL requested, referrer URL, browser and operating system used. We process this data to provide the website, to ensure IT security and to defend against attacks. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and functioning web service). Logs are kept for a maximum of 30 days and are then deleted or anonymised.
4. Cookies and local storage
This website uses cookies and comparable storage technologies. Strictly necessary cookies (e.g. session handling, CSRF protection, storage of your cookie choices) are set on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR / § 25(2)(2) TDDDG without consent. Any additional cookies (statistics, marketing) are only set with your explicit consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. You can give and withdraw your consent at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. We currently do not set any statistics or marketing cookies.
5. Contact form
When you use our contact form, we process the information you provide (name, e-mail address, company, chosen topic, message, IP address, timestamp) to handle your request and any resulting correspondence. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request aims at entering into a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). To improve handling, requests are automatically forwarded to our internal CRM system "day2day" (operated by Enodia Software GmbH, see section 2). In addition, your request is sent by encrypted SMTP to an internal mailbox. We store your request until it has been fully answered and afterwards for as long as commercial or tax retention obligations or a legitimate interest in traceability requires (typically up to 3 years).
6. Live chat
We optionally offer a live chat on this website. When you use the chat, we process the data you voluntarily provide (name, e-mail address, chosen topic, chat transcript, IP address, timestamp, current page) to advise you and handle your request. The chat is operated within our internal CRM "day2day" (Enodia Software GmbH); only authorised staff have access. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual requests) or Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent by actively using the chat widget). Chat data is anonymised after 90 days unless retention obligations apply. The chat runs without any external service provider; we do not embed any third-party chat such as Intercom or HubSpot.
7. E-mail contact
If you contact us by e-mail, we process your information to handle your request. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. E-mails are transported over TLS. We store your e-mail address and message for as long as necessary to answer your request or continue the correspondence.
8. Hosting
This website is hosted on servers located in Germany. The hosting provider processes the access data described in section 3 on our behalf under a data processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. No data is transferred to third countries outside the EU/EEA.
9. Analytics and tracking
We currently do not use any analytics, tracking or marketing tools. Should we integrate such services in the future (e.g. Matomo, Plausible, Google Analytics), we will update this notice and, where required, obtain your consent via the cookie banner.
10. External content
Our website does not embed external fonts, videos or map material. All assets are served from our own servers. Should we integrate external content in the future, we will inform you at this point.
11. Your rights
As a data subject you have comprehensive rights: right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and the right to object (Art. 21 GDPR). You may withdraw a given consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). To exercise your rights, please contact us informally at day2day@enodia.de.
12. Right to object
You have the right to object at any time, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data based on Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR. We will then no longer process your data, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
13. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. The competent authority for Enodia Software GmbH is: Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany, poststelle@lfd.niedersachsen.de.
14. Data security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or manipulation. The connection to this website is fully encrypted via TLS (HTTPS). Internal systems are protected by access controls, password policies and regular security updates.
15. Changes to this notice
We adapt this privacy notice when the legal situation, technology or our processing activities change. The current version is always available on this page; the date of the last update is shown at the top.
